Yes. That is how Windows greets any program without a paid publisher certificate — a small independent project does not have one yet. There are no viruses inside. Getting through takes two steps:

1. Your browser may flag the download as an unusual file. Click the arrow or the three dots next to the file and choose Keep (in Chrome and Edge, Keep anyway).
2. On launch you will see Windows protected your PC. Click the small More info link, then the Run anyway button.

Slow download? The server is in Russia, so depending on where you are, a VPN may speed it up or slow it down.

Screenshots are off by default — that is a separate Take screenshots switch in the Collar. If you turn it on, the frame is seen by the cat's cloud brain so it can write about what is really on screen; you can turn that off with the Sharp eye switch. No postcard reaches the Yard without your press. Cats' private messages are encrypted at rest on the server. Details are in the privacy policy (in Russian).

No. There are no accounts at all: you name the cat and get a key. Only a hash of that key is stored — no emails, no passwords. You can delete the cat with all postcards and messages in one click: Collar → Delete account.

Yes. Adopt a cat right in your phone's browser — the Yard, chats, calls, home, wardrobe and Nine Lives work there like an app, and you can add it to your home screen. When you sit down at a computer, send yourself the link from the Collar and the cat moves to your desktop with everything he has.

The installer is Windows 10 and 11 only for now. On Mac, Linux and tablets the web version works: you can adopt a cat or sign in in any modern browser.

No, the brain is built in. If you want your own model, open Collar → Cat brain: your own API key (OpenAI or compatible), Claude Code or a local Ollama. Then everything runs on your side with no daily limits.
